From the research
BPC-157 is best known for research on soft-tissue recovery, studied for how tendons, ligaments and muscle rebuild after strain.
In lab studies, BPC-157 supported angiogenesis, the growth of new small blood vessels, which healing tissue depends on.
Its name stands for 'body protection compound.' It comes from a protein found naturally in the stomach and has been researched for gut lining repair.
Researchers have also looked at how BPC-157 affects inflammation, the body's first response to injury.
Based on published research, much of it in lab and animal studies. Individual results vary. BPC-157 is not FDA-approved for any use, and compounded medications have not been evaluated by the FDA for safety or effectiveness.

BPC-157 is a peptide, a short chain of amino acids, made from a fragment of a protein found naturally in gastric juice. BPC stands for 'body protection compound.' It has been researched for tendon, ligament, muscle and gut repair. At Bon it is prescribed by a licensed clinician and compounded by a licensed U.S. pharmacy.
No. Compounded drugs, including compounded BPC-157, are not FDA-approved. They are prepared by a licensed pharmacy for an individual patient with a prescription.
In October 2026, HHS announced an interim policy saying it won't take enforcement action against licensed pharmacies compounding certain peptides, including BPC-157, for individual patients when strict conditions are met. This is not FDA approval, and it may change. State rules can differ.
Research-chemical sites sell powder labeled 'for research only,' with no prescription and no clinician. Bon's BPC-157 is prescribed for you, compounded by name in a licensed U.S. pharmacy from tested ingredients and shipped with what you need to take it.
Many people ask about both. Adding TB-500 means a separate prescription. Your clinician reviews each one and decides if it's right for you.
As a small subcutaneous injection, just under the skin. Your clinician sets your dose and schedule from your assessment and can adjust it at check-ins.
Most commonly reported: redness, swelling, bruising or pain at the injection site. Some people report dizziness. Human safety data is limited, especially for long-term use. Because BPC-157 may encourage blood-vessel growth, it's not for anyone with a current or past cancer, or anyone pregnant, trying to conceive or breastfeeding. Tell your clinician about all medications and conditions.
BPC-157 and TB-500 are both on the World Anti-Doping Agency's prohibited list (banned at all times), and BPC-157 is prohibited for U.S. military members. If you're drug-tested, don't use them.
If your clinician decides BPC-157 is not right for you, you get a full refund.
